Where do I drop off donations?
Please drop off your furniture donations at the West Garage doors (push button for assistance). All other donations may be dropped off at the Northwest Corner of the building designated as the 'Donations' entrance.
Should I call ahead before donating?
If you need a truck to transport your items, please call us at 616.396.8870 to make arrangements. Pick-ups of donated items occur on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons by appointment.
Are certain donation times preferred?
Please bring donations any time between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. If you bring your items between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm or 6:30 pm, either ring the bell at the back door or call ahead. Feel free to come in through the front door and talk to a volunteer who will be ready to assist you with your donation items.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes, if they are in good condition.
Do you provide a receipt?
Yes. We provide a signed, itemized sheet of your donation(s).
How do I estimate the value of my donated items?
The best way to estimate the value is to use one of the following guides: The Salvation Army or Goodwill.
What happens to donated items you don’t sell?
Items we cannot sell will either be donated to Holland Missions or recycled, as appropriate.
Are there any items you don’t accept?
Yes. We DO NOT accept:
- Baby walkers on wheels
- Car seats
- Non-working appliances
- Non-working electronics
- Organs
- Pianos
- Printers
- Scanners without installation software
- Used mattresses
- TVs
- Cribs
- Water beds
- Water heaters
